Our commitment
Forestall Risk Management Ltd is committed to conducting its business responsibly and ethically. We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking, servitude or other forms of exploitation within our business activities or supply chain.
This statement sets out Forestall’s approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and reflects the nature, scale and risk profile of our business.
About Forestall
Forestall Risk Management Ltd is an Irish professional services consultancy providing risk, resilience, crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, training and simulation exercise services to organisations in Ireland and internationally.
Forestall operates with a small core structure and engages experienced professional associates and specialist service providers where required to support client assignments.
Our principal expenditure and supply-chain relationships relate to professional and consultancy services, information technology and software, communications, travel and accommodation, and general business services and supplies.
Our assessment of risk
Given the nature and scale of Forestall’s professional services activities, we consider the risk of modern slavery occurring within our direct operations to be low.
We recognise, however, that modern slavery and labour exploitation can occur within wider supply chains and that responsible organisations should remain alert to potential risks, particularly when engaging suppliers, subcontractors and other third parties.
Our approach is therefore proportionate to the nature of our business and the level of risk associated with the services and suppliers we use.
Our approach
Forestall expects those with whom we conduct business to operate lawfully and ethically and to respect internationally recognised human and employment rights.
We will not knowingly conduct business with an organisation or individual involved in modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour or other serious labour exploitation.
Where appropriate to the nature of a business relationship, Forestall may consider factors including:
- the location and nature of the services or products being supplied;
- the use of subcontracted or temporary labour;
- information available concerning a supplier’s employment and ethical practices; and
- any identified concerns relating to human rights, working conditions, forced labour or exploitation.
Where reasonable grounds for concern arise, Forestall will seek appropriate information or clarification and will consider what action is necessary. This may include declining to enter into, suspending or terminating a business relationship where serious concerns cannot be satisfactorily resolved.
Associates and subcontractors
Consultants, associates and specialist subcontractors engaged by Forestall are expected to comply with applicable employment, human rights and anti-trafficking legislation and to conduct themselves consistently with Forestall’s professional and ethical expectations.
We similarly expect suppliers and service providers supporting our business to comply with applicable laws relating to employment practices, forced labour, human trafficking and modern slavery.
Client and supply-chain assurance
Forestall works with organisations that may have their own responsible sourcing, procurement and supply-chain due-diligence requirements.
We will cooperate with reasonable client due-diligence and supplier-assurance requirements relating to modern slavery, human rights and responsible business practices.
Raising concerns
Any person who becomes aware of, or reasonably suspects, modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking or related exploitation associated with Forestall’s activities or business relationships is encouraged to raise the matter with us.
